Final major project

This is the page for all my work to do with my final comic producing it the changes all my thought creating this.  

First panel presentation 

This is our first panel meeting of this semester where we take the second idea we came up with last semester and show it off to the panel and see how they like it and what direction we could take it. My second Idea was what if the romans never fell when i originally spoke about this idea last semester I was met with how it could be too much or too big but i responded that I would keep it small to a certain part of society such as military and an action comic.  

After this presentation the panel was very happy with my ideas my character even without any sketches they could imagine my characters and the story I could have set out. They recommended cutting the middle part so that I get to the action quicker than me getting halfway through and getting very tired and burned out.

Research 

I know theres some stuff in the museum up in Hanley that is related to Celts so I decided to take a trip there and take some photos as well as look for some influence.

Opening shot of Hadrian’s wall, it is early morning but there is a bit of snowstorm going on the wall stands strong torches lit on the tops of it burning bright orange in the sea of snow and brick cuts to two guards shivering while on guard duty near one of the torches for warmth. One of the guards says there here you know his guard friend his friend is shocked and responds you mean them. He responds the ones. It then cuts to a big shot over a two-page spread showing chimera squad all silhouetted besides big round beaming eyes standing in swamp water with a burning red sky as this is shown the guards discuss each member and the rumours that follow each member. Then it cuts back to the two guards discussing as one looks down and says speak of the devil and they shall appear. A shot of the drawbridge at Hadrian’s wall opens to reveal 5 shadowed figures it is chimera squad moving out on the assignment. They travel a bit further when felix talks about how slvy and titus caused trouble in camp so they were sent out earlier than they should. Titus in his big oaf nature says titus protect silvy. Silvy and titus have a big and small friendship she is sat on his shoulders it doesn’t affect him. Silvy turns to felix who is walking behind titus and pulls her tongue making a face at him to get him angry. Felix shouts if you didn’t have that big brute I would have you. Brutus the leader lifts his fist to signal the squad to stop a shot of the squad surrounded by helmets equipment spears. Haver some respect for the fallen. Then says prepare yourself the squad start getting their equipment ready silvy uses two daggers sharpest around titus uses a heavy machine gun felix loads his adjust the scope on his sniper and brutus loads his heavy rifle. The group enter the swamp to hit at there target this is where most legions make it before falling. Some time passes and they are heavily in the swamp now when silvy moans all we been doing is walking you sure we aren’t going in circles. Vita turns around in a hiss he states you never shut up do you brat. Silvt turns her back pulling a face and not listening to vitas words. Suddenly as if out of nowhere a massive fist comes down crushing vita instantly in a burst of blood all over silvy and titus silvys eyes become void. Brutus turns to see a giant ogre looking at him smiling with a shadowed face besides the white of teeth eyes and his stinking breath. Is this joke brutus turns to see the squad is surrounded by tribesman covered in bones bushes and all with skull masks A shot of a dark bush area as an illusive figure comes out of in full black clad outfit with a cloak of feathers and a big bird skull mask with a somewhat which hat on. The crow spouts is all the emperors four suicidal goons well make that 3 now with one of you being at the bottom of gronks fist. A shot of titus and silvy still in place as crow continues to ask I didn’t expect anything during winter, but this is cute suddenly a round comes out of nowhere instantly a big deformed arm defends the crow by blocking the bullet saving her ooooooh cheeky. Cuts to felix sat on top of a high swamp tree a while away.

so witht he final comic i had to cut down a lot cause of a lot of time time restraint even with extended deadline i feel like a bit off a bit more than i can chew but the rewrites and cutting down I have done has worked as more of introduction to the squad and each member as they all get there own page and page or as well as introducing the bad guy. 

In conclusion I had to cut down quite a lot and redo the story a bit to more of a opening as previously stated. I do like some of the pages I have produced for this comics they are the ones that I sent off for print I do see that I have improved with my characters a little and some angles bit by bit even a small step is great but i still have very far to go and that i do suffer with biting off a bit more than i can chew.
